Convenience Care offers fast
non-emergency medical care

LifeCare Medical Center began offering Convenience Care in 2007 and has experienced positive feedback from patients needing non-emergency medical attention during evenings and weekends. Convenience Care patients register at the hospital front desk upon arrival.

We often have a plan when we go about our busy day of work, errands and
activities. However things come up, plans change, and occasionally the
unexpected need for medical care is suddenly the focus of the moment.
Fortunately, LifeCare Medical Center now offers Convenience Care,
after-hours medical attention for non-emergency medical conditions.
Convenience Care personnel Clyde Stephens, PA-C, Michelle Franek, FNP-C,
and Debina Potts, FNP-C, are familiar faces to the community through their
work at the Altru clinics in Roseau, Warroad, and Greenbush.
Jason Nupdal, FNP-C, of Hallock also serves on the Convenience Care staff.
All physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, lab and X-ray professionals help to meet the patient’s needs and make sure appropriate care is available.
Whether it’s for a persistent cough, sore throat, ear aches, sprains, fever, or backaches, this after-hours care is a sensible alternative to an emergency room visit.
It also allows patients who otherwise would wait until morning or through the weekend to get started on treatment sooner.
Patients are encouraged to talk to their health care insurance representative about Convenience Care payment guidelines.
Most insurance companies cover Convenience Care, often at a lower co-pay than an emergency visit.
Convenience Care check-in is easy. Simply enter at the hospital main entrance and register at the LifeCare admitting desk.
No appointment is necessary, and there is no need for the patient to call
before arriving. Patients are seen in the order they arrive.
LifeCare began its Convenience Care in 2007 and has experienced positive
feedback from those in need of non-emergency medical care.
Convenience Care is available 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday and on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
As always, the LifeCare Emergency department is available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week to treat any medical condition.

LifeCare business office relocates

The business office has moved to its new permanent location in a recently renovated space in the lower level of LifeCare Medical Center.
The relocation is part of LifeCare’s “trading spaces” project done to allow room for its expanding Behavioral Health and Respiratory Care departments.
“People should enter through the clinic business office entrance on the
north side of the building,” explains Nancy Tveit, director of LifeCare’s
business office.

She and a staff of 14 are responsible for accounts receivable, accounts
payable, payroll, and other duties.
The business office’s financial counselor can help people make payment arrangements and provide information about LifeCare’s Community Care plan to those who financially are unable to pay their bill. For patients who qualify under the guidelines, a bill possibly may be forgiven up to 100%.
The LifeCare business office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday
through Friday.

Bright, spacious office areas make for a pleasant working environment in the new business office.
