State-of-the-art healthcare is available from your provider in the comfort of a room with a home-like atmosphere.

Prior to delivery, LifeCare Medical Center staff is proud to offer Prenatal Classes to our community.  These classes are done through a partnership with Roseau Community Education. Topics such as how to prepare for your birth experience, breathing and relaxation, pain management, mom and baby care, baby safety, breastfeeding, immunizations, and car seat safety are discussed at the sessions. The sessions are held for three consecutive weeks from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. throughout the year. There are pain management options for you to discuss with your healthcare provider.  Our obstetric patients may be offered Epidural or Intrathecal morphine methods of pain management.

Special teaching is offered during your hospital stay on lactation education and the care of both mom and baby in order to help mom become comfortable with all the new things that she will be experiencing. In addition, LifeCare Home Care Services is available to make a follow-up visit to all new mothers after discharge.

The usual length of stay is 2 days for a vaginal birth and 3 days for a C-section.
